- About Linda -

My name is Linda Näslund and I live in Överbyn, Jämtland with my partner Lars-Olov, our two sons, Petter och Nils, and our two Boxers.

My parents bred Boxers in the 80's & 90's when I grew up and it has shaped my whole life. Other breeds as Giant Schnauzers, GSD & Cavalier King Charles Spaniels also passed during these years, but did not make as deep impression on me as the Boxers.
.
I started early with agility, obedience and working trials. I was active in the youth section of the Kennel Club and continued to work for the local Working Breeds Club and Local and National Boxer Club.
Now as the children are small I have decided to cut down on my volontary work.
As a child I showed to have a big talent to show dogs. This gave me the opportunity to travel abroad, mainly to Britain, to compete. I attended Jersey Team match several years with excellent results.
Through this I got to know a lot of dog people around the world whom I still am in contact with today. Many of these are true inspiration and mentors to me on my continous way towards the "perfect Boxer".

I have had the pleasure of winning Top Show Boxer in Sweden twice, in 2001 with U.K imp Tyegarth Kestrel and 2006 with her daughter Ch Handler's Princess of Sweden. And I have been second and third on many occasions :-)

With my first own import I got to win a BIS at a Kennel Club show. It was the breeds first in 20 years and now 16 years later noone has managed to do it again.

I am also proud to be the first foreign breeder in Boxers to win a studbook number at Crufts. Ch Handler's Princess of Sweden was also historic as the first longtailed Boxer to be placed at Crufts (3rd in Open 2006).
We also had a Top winning Mastino Napoletano, Ch Fosco of the Witches Meltingpot, and hope to return to that breed someday.

I have been a ring steward since the beginning of the 90's and in 2007 I became an authorised FCI show judge.
I award CC's in Boxers, Dobermanns och Giant Schnauzers. I have judged in Sweden, Norway and the UK. This August I will also judge Finlands Klubsieger show.

Since 2006 I report about Scandinavian Boxers in the British Boxer Quarterly. This I really enjoy as I love to write.

I have recently started a business and I give horses and dogs acupuncture and laser treatments. You can read more on a separate website.

Thanks for visiting my website, I hope you enjoy it!

Take care,
Linda
